La Plagne, France

Staying in a chalet is your chance to relax – and with welcoming vibes, great company and delicious food made by your Crystal chalet hosts, you’ll soon feel right at home. To help you choose your next cosy getaway, here are some of our favourite chalets in France.

Carlina Chalets, La Plagne

Sit back and relax in the stylish furnishings of the Hugo, Juliette and Violette chalets. As with all of our chalets, you won’t have to lift a finger. Start your day with a freshly cooked breakfast and by the time you get back we’ll have an afternoon tea laid out. If your legs are like jelly after hitting the slopes and you fancy just flopping out on your bed, there are flatscreen TVs in the bedrooms. And each chalet has its own outdoor hot tub, so grab a towel, head outside and unwind with views of snow-topped mountains.

Chalet Nightingale, Alpe d’Huez

Treat yourself to a stay at the spacious Nightingale, with welcoming décor, mood lighting and elegant wall art. Its open-plan dining and lounge areas make it the perfect mountain retreat for reconnecting with your family and friends. With wine free-flowing at dinner six days a week, why leave your chalet for drinks? Your après just got ten times cosier. Our favourite part has to be its very own sauna and hot tub, so give those ski muscles a well-deserved rest and indulge in some ‘me time’.

Canadienne Chalets, Val d’Isère

Named after Canadian states, the Alberta, Brunswick, Columbia, Manitoba, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and Yukon chalets are all in one building. The two-storey chalets are great for spreading out and evenings spent relaxing inside. After a day on the mountains, warm your toes with the underfloor heating. Sink into the plush sofas, put your latest Netflix favourite onto the flatscreen TV and give in to the heavenly smell of the freshly baked cakes at afternoon tea. With a board game on the go, a fire lit and roaring, wrap your hands around a hot chocolate and join in the fun.

Chalet Woodpecker, Alpe d’Huez

Before the rest of your chalet wakes up, step out onto your private terrace, sip a steaming cup of coffee and look up at the views. The Woodpecker is ideal for groups of friends and couples with a sociable, spacious layout. You can catch up, compare ski app stats and share the day’s adventures with the whole group around the large sofa. And if you haven’t worked up an appetite yet, wait until the delicious scents of dinner cooking in the kitchen waft through to the living area – get ready to tuck in.
