Highest lift in Austria to open on Pitztal Glacier

Austria’s highest ski area has opened for the ‘Winter’ 2012/13 season, despite it still being September. It’s also been announced that the new eight-seater Wildspitzbahn gondola will be opening in October 2012, becoming the highest ski lift in Austria, reaching an altitude of 3440m.
