How to ski

The idea of carving up pristine slopes, getting a goggle tan and stopping for the odd hot chocolate in an alpine hut sounds great. But before you get to that point you have to learn how to ski.

How Hard Is It To Ski?

After your minds been set on learning how to ski then the first question that pops into your head is how hard is it to learn to ski?

The truth is that it’s no walk in the park. It can be overwhelming knowing where to start. That’s why we’ve created this handed set of tutorial videos that will take you from your first steps on the snow through parallel skiing.

Now just to be clear. We still highly recommend that you get an instructor and take lessons in person. But it’s always helpful to take a look at the technique before hand or as a little refresher afterwards.

What Our Learning To Ski Series Will Take You Through

The video series is made up of 5 videos covering the following.

Getting you used to your skis and moving around on them, to the proper skiers stance and finally onto straight running

Taking you through the foundation from which you’ll learn to ski – the snow plough.

Taking you through your first basic turns when skiing. Getting you set up to start exploring the mountain.

If the snow plough is your stabilizers then this is the point where start to take them off and match your skis. The point where we start to properly learn how to ski.

This is the point where you’re starting to truly ski. Once you’ve mastered the the parallel turn you’re ready to start exploring the mountain.
